alf-thumbDr. Alf Le

Alf graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree with first class honours from The University of Queensland. Following graduation he worked for 5 years in a well established general dental practice at Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast where he refined his skills in all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry whist enjoying the coastal lifestyle.

In 2004 Alf was invited to work alongside Dr Neil Latcham at his specialist periodontal and implant practice in the Gold Coast where he worked part time for the next 9 years. Throughout his tenure he developed a keen interest and in depth knowledge in complex restorative, cosmetic and implant cases. He also particularly enjoyed the role of mentoring other visiting dentists.

In 2006 Alf decided on a move back to his hometown of Brisbane and opened Everything for Teeth with Kerry. Here he enjoys performing all aspects of general dentistry and focuses on providing his patients with gentle, comprehensive, informed and quality dental care.

As you will find out when you meet him, Alf is friendly, caring and professional, but also with a great sense of humour. In his spare time, Alf enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing touch football and golf and tennis, squash and many other sports.

When he has manages to get time off work he likes travelling and has a keen interest in landscape photography. Alf is also a real dog lover.

If you have any questions for Alf, feel free to get in touch.

Dr. Yuko Hung

Yuko graduated from the University of Queensland with honours. After having experience in both private and public sectors, she joined Everything for Teeth in 2018.

She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a particular interest in preventive dentistry. She strives to provide the best quality care for each one of her patients, treating all her patients the same way she would want to be treated herself. Her gentle and caring nature brings comfort to patients at chair side. Outside of work, she is keeping herself updated in the advanced world of dentistry by constantly participating in professional development courses.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends and long distance running (you might be able to find her at the annual Bridge to Brisbane Charity Run). She also regularly volunteers with dental organisations which look after underprivileged communities.

Other than English, Yuko is also fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese.

Thia profile (1)

Dr Thia Baskerville

Dr Thia Baskerville graduated from Griffith University Dental School on the Gold Coast with a Bachelor of Oral Health and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry. She trained in Mount Isa and embraced the rural lifestyle, prior to moving back to Brisbane to work several years in private practice.

Thia is a gentle natured dentist who is highly committed to patient care and particularly passionate about caring for nervous patients. Dr Baskerville is interested in all aspects of general dentistry, in particular aesthetic work and she especially loves keeping visits to the dentist an interactive and positive experience for children.

Outside dentistry, Thia enjoys spending quality time with her husband and one-year old boy. She is also found delving in social sports such as touch football and fishing at her favourite secret spot on North Stradbroke Island

Maya classifies herself as a hybrid in the dental world. She performs front office duties as well as clinical duties and helps make everything run smoothly at the dental clinic.  She has been a dental assistant for 4 years and loves being part of the dental and healthcare industry.  Maya loves caring for and enjoys looking after our patients.  She also loves travelling and trying new things.  In her spare time, Maya usually can be found having a picnic, going to a farmer’s market or spending time with family and friends.

Kirsten has been part of the Everything for Teeth team since the beginning of 2017. She is one of our friendly and caring dental assistants.  She has been a dental assistant for 6 years and enjoys being part of the dental and healthcare industry. Kirsten is also currently studying registered nursing at university and hopes to become a theatre nurse in the future. In her spare time Kirsten enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband, daughter and pets.

Winston is our 3 year old cavoodle receptionist.  He loves to greet our patients with a leap up onto the counter and a tail wag.  Winston doesn’t shed fur and we ensure we keep our dental surgery as clean as possible, utilising strict hygiene practices.

Winston generally stays behind the front desk during the day, but for those patients who are nervous, we have been advised by the ADA that he can sit with patients during their dental treatment. Winston will just lie calmly on someone’s lap during a dental procedure if requested and it has been lovely to see young nervous patients enjoy coming to the dentist to see him.

Winston is currently in the process of training so that he can volunteer at nursing homes etc on his days off and help bring more joy to people.

Melissa previously worked with us in 2014 and we’ve been lucky to have her return to join our team again in 2020.   She has now been in the dental industry for 7 years and has recently moved back to Brisbane after living in South Australia. Mel has good experience with nervous patients and always wants to help out, whether it’s at work or with friends and family. In her spare time, Mel enjoys learning new things about health and wellbeing and also finding new things to see and do.  Mel also loves hanging out with her two cats.
